In my penchant to engage with law students and law schools . Earlier in the month of February 2020, I was invited and adjudged the Phillip C Jessup International Moot Court Competition - India rounds, which were held at Amity Law School Noida and what struck me was not just the complexity of International Law Problem these youngsters were dealing with but also the confidentiality and fairness involved in the process. In a bench of three Judges of which I was chosen the 'Chief', unanimously, we were adjudging teams from two colleges. Both of which had to present their case in 45 minutes. While one team was exceptional in not just its understanding of the legal questions involved but also in the presentation of the subject matter and answering our questions the other team lacked preparation. The team which fared well certainly deserved a place in finals if not the winning title. We tried to be sympathetic, while still trying to get the maximum out with our persistent questions. I got to know from the feed of Jindal Global Law School that the better performing team was theirs who have aced the India rounds. And from the preparation of it I can say they deserved it every bit. Congratulations for the Laurels of team JGLS and best of luck for the International Final Rounds to be held in DC. #law #mootcourt #Jessupmoot #justice #internationallaw #amitylaw #JGLS #ALS
